Materials
- 2 sheets of cardstock
- Scissors
- Glue or tape
- Ruler
- Markers for decorating
Step-by-step Instructions
1. Cut the Template
Print the house template on cardstock. Cut out the main structure, roof, and optional chimney pieces along the solid lines.
2. Score and Fold Walls
Score all fold lines with a ruler and toothpick. Fold the four walls inward to form the house shape.
3. Glue the Walls
Apply glue to the side tabs and press them inside the adjacent wall. Hold until set. The house should stand on its own.
4. Attach the Roof
Fold the roof piece along the center line. Apply glue to the roof tabs and place it on top of the walls. Make sure the overhang is even on all sides.
5. Add the Chimney
If using the chimney piece, fold it into a small rectangle and glue it to the roof. Cut a small slit in the roof for it to sit flush.
6. Decorate
Draw windows, doors, and any details you like. Add a garden or path around the base. Your paper house is complete!
